Stayed at this hotel after a not so great experience at another hotel chain in Montrose. Since there were no other available rooms in Montrose, I drove north to Grand Junction. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was given water and cookies. The room was spacious and quiet. It was honestly probably the best night sleep I had gotten since I had arrived in Colorado for vacation.
Despite online sources to the contrary, THERE IS NO POOL AT THIS HOTEL. Instead, you get pool PRIVILEGES at the Residence Inn next door. This is disingenuous and misleading. The pool is indoors but unheated and quite cold. There is no hot tub. Parking is an additional $10/night. ' The three-prong electrical outlet above the bed has power, but plugs fall out of it because it is worn out (room 217).
Very not good. Avoid room 220 at all costs for at least a month or so. Sewer smell and bubbling up toilet caused sulfur smell in the room. We complained and they brought up some air freshener but didn't solve the root of the problem. Bed was broken like a 1000 lb person sat on the edge of the bed and destroyed the springs in the mattress and box spring. The mattress collapsed into a V-shape when I laid on the bed.
