Update: The response from management to this review is so condescending. I literally still could have typed the same card number in if that was an issue because I had the virtual card to use. Also, the hotel was a recommendation from a co worker who used the company card for parking with no issue. Surprise surprise, she was white. I confirmed with her before I even wrote the review. Friendly place! Everyone on the staff made it their job to make me feel welcome, with conversation, friendly questions and offering to do things for me before I asked ("I see you have a water bottle. Would you like me to fill it up?"). A genuine warm vibe like that is rare, and it doesn't just happen. Kudos to the management and the staff! Amazing staff!
The South Carolina Quarter Horse Association used The Richland Room for our annual awards banquet. Prentiss and Donna went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, from the beginning phases of planning, to executing last minute changes. We received amazing service from Shrina and Anthony the night of the banquet. The food was delicious and they made sure we had the best bar service! I highly recommend using Courtyard by Marriott Downtown at USC for any event, large or small.
