authentic diner How often do you see a real diner these days? This is the cutest restaurant. It looks like a 50s diner - shiney silver on the outside and everything. All-American food.
Bad coffee, good atmosphere, and a good omelet... One of the greatest attributes of the Court Street Diner is its atmosphere. The aesthetic of an 1950s diner has been preserved authentically. Although it's flashy, and the walls are covered with 50s albums, it doesn't feel gimmicky or over-produced, which is what one gets from a Johny Rocket's or a Steak and Shake. Court Street Diner is fun times The Court Street diner is a fun little place, all old-school and shiny with tasty fish and chips, Reubens, and pies, among other fare. Inexpensive and good for lunch.
RecommendedJust ate here for the first time, it’s so yummy and everyone is so nice there. (An added bonus it makes you feel like you’re living in the 50’s!)
Great service, the wait staff is very courteous. Our food was great quality and tasted as it should! Good meal for the money!

My wife and I happened through Athens Ohio earlier today. We looked for someplace interesting, as far as eating is concerned. We spotted the Court Street Diner and decided to try it. Upon entry we were greeted and promptly seated. The waitress was friendly and smiling. Our food was good and reasonably priced. I heartily recommend the Court Street Diner in Athens Ohio.
