I have been seeing Dr Courson for several years originally at the Akron office, now on the Cleveland Clinic main campus. He is very caring and listens well. It is worth the 45 minute drive to me to keep him as my doctor.
If you have symptoms that don’t fit directly into his personal bucket of diagnoses, he will dismiss you entirely and move on. I even reached out to him for help after the fact asking for guidance and direction, only to have him aggressively respond that his mind wasn’t changing as I didn’t have a specific disorder he was testing for. His negligence caused me over a year of hardship, lost wages and suffering before I finally was diagnosed and put on an appropriate treatment plan by another cardiologist at another institution.
Had a virtual 2nd opinion through Cleveland Clinic and was paired with Dr. Courson. I found him to be excellent to work with: very thorough, spent a great deal of time with me, and answered all of my questions. He treated me with respect and dignity and gave me some new leads for seeking treatment for a rare group of undiagnosed symptoms. He understood my issues and questions, and went into great detail with the review. Not a good dr. He is not good with complex issues. Not as informed with different kind of pots. Would not recommend.
