Lets begin with a day ago, my dad was transferred down to the Courage Center right away he was evaluated for PT and OT that went well he did not even see a doctor during his first day. My Mom described to the nurses and aides certain situations that they needed to look for such as that he should not be left alone unattended in his wheelchair due to autonomic dysreflexia. Very disappointed with the driver assessment and training services. I'm helping a friend who recently had a stroke, the state of Minnesota suspended his licenses and it was recommended he go to courage center. Called to make an appointment, no one available leave a message someone will call back, they called back, gave them all the information that was requested and never hear back, that was Sept. 20th. I have had only good experiences with the Courage Center. The staff is helpful and know their stuff and I am treated with respect.
I spent over an hour and a half getting the run around and having to speak with EIGHT different centers before learning they didn't have any appointments available in the later afternoon for months. TERRIBLE. Update: They did follow up with me after leaving this complaint and tried to right the wrong which says a lot.
I think that Courage Kinney is an amazing place to go for both the therapists, staff, camaraderie of the other clients in the various groups and also for the various other groups also involved through Courage such as the downhill skiing, swimming, archery, Camp Courage, Courage North, etc.
This is the best place to do your rehabilitation at!!!!! The therapists are wonderful and know what they are doing!!!!! I would not be where I am today with out all the help they gave me!!!!!! Love this place!
