Makes you feel at home – I have gone to the County Clare 3 times and never have I felt more at home then in this restaurant. Great comfort food, potato of the day, and reubens and other cornbeef concoctions awaiting your perusal. If you want to go somewhere for a good pint of Guinness and some good home cooking go here. A true Irish pub – If you want Ireland, this is pretty close. The beer is delicious and the Irish whiskey keeps you healthy as well. Food here is no frills. Portions are adequate and the potatoes give reason to stop on their own. The root soup transports me back to Ireland on a cool, rainy day. True Irish atmosphere. Now where is the Guiness?
Here's a pub to add to the crawl... – County Clare is a bar located in a quaint hotel on Astor St. It's often full on Friday and Saturday nights due to the live band. It's the ONLY place in town that serves Guinness in a real pint glass and offers the proper two-part pour with a clover-design in the head. It's a fun pub to go.
