We just closed on our home in Florida and Lonn Anderson was our loan officer. From beginning to end he helped us every step of the way through the entire process. He is very personable and easy to talk to even when issues with the Seller & Realtor became contentious, he was the voice of reason. He was quick to respond either by email, phone or text. Jim Steckar did not follow through and had no knowledge of a rural home guidelines, stay away from this company, waste of time and a hit on credit.
I would NEVER suggest CountryPlace to anyone...ever. Extremely rude representatives, zero technology available for allowing bi-monthly payments for our loan, God forbid you fall on hard times- we called to make a payment, someone shows up AT OUR HOME the next day harassing us. Harassing phone calls! When you schedule a payment, they take it out before business hours so the payment doesn’t process. Then they don’t notify you and make it a late payment. For reasons not directly related to Countryplace Mortgage, Casey Mauch, or myself, this was a long process, but Casey endured, and was there every step of the way to answer questions and to be helpful. He has taken time even after loan funding and has tried to help in ways that most other loan officers wouldn't think of doing. Thank you Casey for making this the great experience it has been.

These people have accepted my money for seven years but because I was not the primary borrower on the loan, they have refused to issue the escrow refund check in my name. I show in their system and my money was good enough on a monthly basis. The primary borrower abandoned the property. I have no idea where this person is, so asking them to endorse the check to me is not possible. Presumably this means Country Place gets to keep the money, as far as they're concerned.
