Very dated, including the smell. Mattresses are horrid, on some loud, springy platform. No light above the whirlpool, no fan in the bathroom. Go to the indoor pool/hot tub in the basement... hot tub is closed off, empty of water, but dirty inside. We were not notified of this upon check-in. The pool water was extremely cold for an indoor pool. "Help yourself to towels"... there were 2. Breakfast was a sad attempt. Not worth it at all. Had to stay for a funeral, never again.
We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites for its convenience to a football game in Elkhart. Upon leaving in the morning we noticed white powder along all the baseboards in the hallway. I’m assuming they sprayed for bedbugs in the middle of the night. Never going back.
This place is rundown from the outside to the inside. The rooms smell, floor was soaking wet and it took over 5 minutes to get hot water out of the sink. No batteries in the tv remote. Horrible hotel.
