Established in 1998 by the Miller family, Country Gables Cafe was sold to the Sanders in 2008. Since then, though tragedies have befallen upon the restaurant such as the fire in 2009, it has surpassed them and still remains a favorite of the locals. Chicken on the Chicken fried steak tasted freezer burnt.... definitely not fresh! Waitress was nice, unfortunately shes not the cook.

I had heard very great things about this cafe. However when I tried it today I was dissapointed. The coffee tasted like water and the food tasted stale and undercooked. I was waiting for someone to ask me how my food was because I had barely touched it, instead I was asked if I needed a to go box. We got our check and told the waitress that we werent satisfied because we left hungry and all she did was make excuses and gave us a small discount. Wont be coming back here.

poor service..breakfast wasn't cooked the way I ordered it..coffee wasn't that greatand had to wait too long for a refill in a place not that busy

Good friendly service. Just one thought, the breakfast burrito should come as a la carte or with a side of fruit... The Burrito, although delicious already has potatoes. A side of potatoes just seems irrelevant. Thanks

I have always loved the food and service at this restaurant. That said my one huge complaint is that they have a beautiful patio but if you want to eat there in the morning you can't do so because the tables and chairs are all chained up. It would seem that it would be a routine occurrence that someone could unchain them and prepare them for use at breakfast. We still go there but much less than we used to due to this little thing that bothers me and they don't seem to respond to suggestions about how they could alleviate th... read more
