I received quick service for installation of a reportedly quality B&W Turnover Ball Gooseneck Hitch at a cost of just over one-thousand dollars ($1,000)? I dropped my truck off Friday Morning October 17, 2025 and picked it up that evening. The next morning, I looked closer and now I am wondering what happened to the quality I had repeated heard about. Must be cautious!! I would recommend anyone getting a fifth wheel hitch installed to make sure you state exactly what is to be installed. I bought a new $50000 camper from Lazy Dayz and had them contract my hitch install. They took my truck to Council Hitch to perform the install and told them to install a BW Slider. When I picked my truck up and later inspected out of a hunch discovered they chose to not install the BW plates below and welded to my frame without my knowledge and approval their own “custom made” system. I cant remember ever giving a 5 star but John and his team at Council Hitch ‘surpassed all my expectations’ when they installed an electric tail light harness in my Venza. Aftermarket tail lights work perfectly now! Thanks to Corwin Toyota for their recommendation.
What the hell is this guys? I paid $1600 to install a 5th wheel hitch properly and safely on my truck and bought a brand new 8000lb 5th wheel and to see this improperly installed hitch install. Where is the hitch plate below? Why did you fabricate flat steel and weld to my frame when the plates was so easy to bolt on?
