Cottonwood Springs appears to prioritize financial profit above patient care. If you have good insurance, you shouldn’t expect to leave. Patients with good insurance are subjected to “policies” that require inpatient treatment, raising severe ethical concerns. The intake process is deeply flawed. Requests to speak with a physician were denied, and legal threats involving court orders a... read more

Cottonwood Springs prioritizes profit above all else. If you have good insurance, don’t expect to leave. They’ll even resort to medical kidnapping to keep you there. The intake process is deeply flawed. Suicidal thoughts? An intake coordinator-not a doctor-makes the determination regardless of your actual intentions. Requesting to speak with a physician? Denied. They are quick to involve courts and make threats if you resist. Basic rights are violated. I was forced to expose my body before being allowed to make a phone call-... read more

- Most staff members are incompetent. ~ Inhibition of critical thinking/ script enforcement ~ Active listening seems disingenuous ~ Unnecessary interjection ~ Often unable to recognize a quiet person's wanting to speak/ incorporate them ~ Misuse of trigger warnings ` Saying "beer" isn't a word allowed, because it may trigger people, but then later, without warning, speaking of sexual assault. It was reported that half the groups members noticeably entered a "vegetative" state for the rest of the day. ~ Incon... read more

My wife went there for an assessment. She was locked in a room for three hours and never received an assessment. She made the appointment ahead of for 11:15pm and was told someone would be available. She finally pushed the emergency button and asked to leave. It was another thirty minutes before someone came and try to convince her to stay and that they could do the assessment now. She refused and was allowed to leave. There no excuse to leave someone waiting for three hours without an explantation especially when they a... read more

Wife was there and she was very unhappy with a few of the staff members. She found a bed bug in her room and brought it to a staff member and a few minutes later she overheard the staff members right outside her door saying that she had brought it in and made her feel like she was some trashy person. To be clear we do not have bed bugs in our home. Said she cried for hours feeling like garbage due to this situation. Would love to hear that the staff members were talked to about this kind of thing. She did like a couple staff... read more

Good program from an abstract perspective but staff is not trustworthy while there observed neglect, poor management of patients acting out, falsified medical records
