I was sent to Costello because i have Behçets Disease. Something ten million doctors have thrown their hands up at me for. It has been so hard to find ANYONE who cares about it and the pain it causes....but I walk into Costello and the lovely girl who does my drops and a few little tests was SO curious to learn about it. While they may have a good rating, their back office, especially scheduling is lacking. They canceled my appointment with no notice. In addition watch out for the hidden cost. They didn’t provide the cost of using the laser machine in the quote and had to come up with an extra 5000.00 on top of what of what the insurance paid. What a bunch of under handed maneuvers, just skirting under the laws.
When I turned 65 I thought to myself "What one thing about aging would I reverse if I could?", and the answer was my vision. (When I was young my vision was perfect, but for the last 20 years I have needed stronger and stronger prescriptions to be able to see clearly.) I had a great experience with Dr. John Costello. I had cataract surgery on both eyes with multifocal lenses and couldn't be happier. He and his staff are very professional and efficient. I would highly recommend.
Dr. Costello is the best ever (only reason I stay in N.Y.). Very pleasant and professional. The staff makes me also look forward to my appts. Love the staff. I have been going there for 20 years and have never had a bad experience.
