About this business

A discovery made in 1952 by two college lads, has turned into Rapids City's popular attraction, Cosmos Mystery Area. As the signboard at the entrance aptly reads 'laws of nature seem to have gone completely berserk', nothing in this attraction can be perceived as normal. The tour involves standing on walls, walking around tilted structures, water flowing upwards, unexplainable changes in heights and sizes and much more. If you are too perplexed regarding the occurrences on the tour, then distortion is the answer. While on a ... read more

Went here for the first time and I'm really glad I did, got to experience this place where gravity doesn't make sense. I felt like I drank way too much because what should be a level floor feels like I'm falling. You gotta see it to understand, our tour guide Charles was very friendly and informative he did a great job and made the tour fun.

Not sure why there are any 1 star reviews.. We certainly loved this place! The tour guides name was Erica, sorry if I spelled it incorrectly! She was a lovely and funny guide, very informative and sweet! The house was insane, mind = blown. I felt incredibly dizzy in the house, because of the "pulls" from the hot spot! We also digged for,and cracked out own geode and inside it was a gorgeous crystal! Every employee was super cool, and I 100% recommend this cool place to visit!

Love it! Exactly the same as my last visit 24 years ago. Not good if you suffer from motion sickness.
