I’ve lived here for slightly over a year. I love my unit & the location but I have so many issues with how the complex is ran. First of all whatever they tell you the base rent is add another $120 to that because of all the fees they charge. My base rent for a 1 bedroom 750 sq ft is around $1470. Because of all the fees I end up paying $1600! Mind you 50-60 of that 120 is going to be your sewer bill. They claim it’s everyone’s usage, but it slowly goes up every month. Things have went down hill since I first moved here a year ago. Poor communication and slow maintenance even on emergencies. I’ve been without AC for almost 3 days and keep getting the runaround. No AC in weather over 80 degrees is considered an emergency request (according to the memo they just sent out today ironically) and yet I’ve been without AC for 2 days going on 3! I visited Cortland Uptown today and met with the leasing agent, Onna. She gave us a walk-in tour and took the time to explain the complex transfer process clearly. Her insights helped me understand my options and the next steps to take. Onna’s personable approach and positive energy made a great impression. Thanks to her assistance, I am now considering staying with Cortland properties.
