I have been a member for years and have never needed the assistance. (Thank God) However, 2 weeks ago my daughter who also works for the department and is a member had her baby 10 weeks early. She lives over 60 miles from the hospital and makes the trip everyday to see her baby. She will be out of work for a little while and received a check from the foundation for $1500. The Pups N PALS PROGRAM in Daytona Beach is fantastic. Save pups and rehabilates people. Thank you to this foundation for allowing a program like this happen and having it grow to be a recognized program in the community. The Veterans and the regular ADOPTERS have all been extremely grateful. The Office Irwin really does a great job.
Just remember if you need help there. They are there for the Officers.
