Complete nightmare! My elderly friend who I help with every day stuff is having to jump through hoops because Cornerstone lost THREE mortgage payments. Her bank has confirmed the payments have come out. I've seen her bank statements that show the payments coming out. They want her to print, scan, email her bank statements to them. Yes, send sensitive information to some place that misplaced thousands of dollars....really?!? Makes me wonder how many other elderly people Cornerstone has "lost" their funds. This is my third home and i have never had problems with a lender. Not only do I have problems with the lender but the abundance and the degree. Unfortunately i think the only resolution is to hire an attorney which i hate. It never sits well when you have to pay for other peoples errors especially when its due to lack of honesty and fair housing practice. I was told not to make a payment due to paperwork still in process on their end and that it would "mess up the numbers and delay the process further" and that my payments ... read more
