It’s not unethical to charge for an appt. What is unethical is to make no mention of this when we call to book, have tech come in and immediately recommend not working with Cornerstone because the fridge is 10 years old. Took it apart, the back panel, and reiterated he could charge us $200-$300 to replace a generic panel, but not gonna last. Then charged $150 to my wife, as I had left. Not wrong to charge for appt. Professional and competent technician, Bob, and the office support (didn't catch her name) was very professional and knowledgeable as well. Whenever I would leave a phone message, someone would get back to me within 10 mins. Fair and trustworthy company, from my experience.
Just had Cornerstone out for my range this time. My refrigerator went out a few days before Thanksgiving but was an easy fix, had part on truck. Different guy showed up for my range but was just as helpful and polite. I'll definitely use these guys again, but hopefully not too soon!
