The Original Rockford Tradition! The Corner Bar has been serving up their legendary chili dogs since 1935. Eat 12 of them and you'll be enshrined in their Hall of Fame alongside more than 5,000 others. In addition to dogs, The Corner specializes in hand-battered onion rings, pickles and mushrooms, hand-paddied burgers, entree salads, sandwiches and burritos. Service was great. But the chilli didn't taste very good, not like the old days.
I grew up here. This place is a landmark! I can remember stopping by on the way home, on a Saturday, after collecting for my Grand Rapids Press route! I'd hit the walk up window, get a cheezeburger, then eat it before I got home,and mom found out! It's still awesome, and, we stop here, every time we're in Rockford!

As Rockford residents, we go to The Corner often and always enjoy it. I would like to make a suggestion, though. Please bring back your veggie wrap and original taco salad!
