8/7/2016 Anyone who would like to know more about my rating of Cornell Estates feel free to contact me. I be happy to share with you how the administrator has bullied and discriminated against my mother and how the owners of this place know about it and ignore it. The administrator tells me her staff isn't trained or capable of caring for my mother yet those who work there disagree. Not for Assisted Living We checked this place out thoroughly and decided against it for assisted living. In the three times we visited the assisted living side of the facility, it took us over 1/2 hour to find ANY staff person. The front desk person kept telling us to go to different floors to find someone and we ran around frustrated. They must be very short staffed! More family like than many facilities Although the facilities are a little older and not as fancy as some of the newer retirement homes out there, I found Cornell Estates to be more warm and family-like than the other retirement homes I visited. When my elderly relative moved in there, we visited often and were welcomed with open arms. It was really a much warmer and more community-oriented place than many of the others we looked at.
