I used to enjoy going there often on my lunch break. Today while in there, I walked in the door and one of the male workers (and I believe owners) said to another male worker "you're girlfriend's here" obviously making fun of me as I was the only one who walked in these are GROWN men. Horrible horrible. I'll never go back and will tell everyone I work with in Shelby of their rude comment.
On my way to Dever. I had pulled in across the street.....thank God they didn't wait on me. I walked across the street and glad I did. Grilled pork...corn..mashed potatoes and homemade gravy. Then magically a slice of warm peach pie with ice cream appearred. So I had to eat it. Dee lish!!!!!!!
We pulled an allnighter driving from Idaho to Ohio. We decided to stop for brunch at the first place we saw once we were in Iowa. We are SO glad we found this place! The food was outstanding and the people that worked there were the friendliest we've ever met. We might need to make this road trip again to eat at the Corn Crib. We highly recommend the hot beef sandwich, the French dip and the French toast. Delish!
We were driving from Denver to Chicago and didn't want to stop at some chain fast food place. We were welcomed at the entrance by a John Wayne poster, a lovely lady and a friendly hello. I was in the mood for mashed potatoes and gravy and it was accompanied by some green beans and fried pork. The service was fast, friendly and the food was yummy. A good experience all the way around.
Great service and food. So glad we decided to stop while cruising down I80. Hope to be back sometime.
The food was great! Will be back next time we pass this way. Highly recommend you try this place!
Found the Corn Crib by accident on our road trip. Excellent fried pork tenderloin sandwich and chicken stew on biscuits. Really nice staff. Highly recommended
This place is so adorable! The food was amazing and the service was wonderful!(:
Great food and amazingly friendly people. The Grandma's french toast is the best in the land. This place has it all: It's a restaurant, gas station, mini-mart, museum, and community space, what more do you need! Very nice and kind people, everyone who works there will come up and say hello to you. If you are looking for true home cooking with a hint of nostalgia, then this is your place. If you are driving I-80, you HAVE TO stop in.
