Best Pizza in DFW Area My friend Jeff and I went out on a DFW "pizza quest" to find excellent thin crust pizza. We passed by the Corky's banner hangin' on the backside of the buidling, in southwest Arlington. I asked Jeff if he had ever tried Corkys, and he stated "Nope". So, we tried it. We have never looked back. Corky's is authentic, Northeast style Italian food, that exceeds all the local "best pizza in DFW" junk you see in the local DFW magazines. Corky's Brick Oven Pizzeria Corky's pizza is very good and authentic. It's a little bit more expensive than what you get in a chain but well worth the price. The only problem I've encountered was being in there at closing time and the owner yelling at staff for taking late orders. Very uncomfortable.
Arlington tx pizza out of this world... By far the best pizza to be had in the DFW area. Wood fired brick oven and very high quality ingredients make for literally one of the best, if not the best pizza I've ever had. They also have very good italian dishes and desserts. Outstanding and definately a MUST HAVE... Our family eats there weekly time permitting.... Kid friendly but perfect for date night also,. BYOB
Run away - FAST! Wow, I went in because I heard they had Neapolitan crust. Before I ordered I asked if the dough was sourdough, which is the basis of Neapolitan crust. The waitress didn't know so the owner (Nick) came out and started arguing with me and totally denegrating me personally. The poor guy didn't even know the basic ingredients for Neapolitan crust and he advertises it as the crown jewel of his establishment. Corky's Brick Oven Pizzeria is True Pizza! The first time I walked into Corky's they were roasting green bell peppers in the brick oven and the smell was heavenly. This is true auth Brick oven pizza. If you like uniform cookie cutter pizza Corky's is not for you. The crust is sorta round with crispy edges. They homemade red and white sauce is like none other I have ever had. Great Pizza I've only been there once, but was really impressed with the pizza. Also, it's really cool that they cook in a real brick oven which makes the pizza have a really crispy crust. I'm looking forward to going back. The service was great and the only complaint was that the salad was average.
