CBR Cord Blood refuses to let us close our account unless we sign a “closure agreement” filled with unfair, one-sided terms. These include fabricated balances, demands to relinquish our rights over the stored samples, and clauses that replace the original disposition instructions from the sign-up contract — all while protecting CBR from any responsibility. We banked our son's cord blood with CBR in 2003 and paid until he turned 18. After calling to cancel, we were told it would be handled. Then, 5 years later, we were hit with a surprise $810 bill and a threat of collections. I emailed CBR explaining the account had been canceled—they never responded. The invoice numbers look suspicious, like they were all created at once. This feels dishonest and completely unprofessional.

I've called 4 times and you only returned my call 2 times. I am trying to get information on data breach on April 20, 2024.
