We banked our son's cord blood with CBR in 2003 and paid until he turned 18. After calling to cancel, we were told it would be handled. Then, 5 years later, we were hit with a surprise $810 bill and a threat of collections. I emailed CBR explaining the account had been canceled—they never responded. The invoice numbers look suspicious, like they were all created at once. This feels dishonest and completely unprofessional.
I've called 4 times and you only returned my call 2 times. I am trying to get information on data breach on April 20, 2024.
Baby hospital had a pamphlet for CBR on their desk that the wife and I picked up as we were being admitted for childbirth. We had done little to no research on preserving cord tissue/blood. Called the number and spoke with a sales rep on the phone who seemed eager to help us get setup with an account and take payment info.
