The prior partner was a personal friend, my father has been a client for years (decades?)... Now he's passed, I'm trying to close his books, and I cannot get a call or email returned. Unbelievable.
Arguably the worst tax preparer out there. I provided them my tax documents in early March and yet they missed the tax filing deadline and made me pay my estimated taxes. The complete lack of communication during the tax preparation and the wrong documents I was pointed to file for an extension, makes me not trust what they filed. I would give them zero stars if that was an option. My prior tax person who I loved made the poor choice to send her clients here when she retired. They never replied to my emails - except for an office manager who works for the old place. They never called me to discuss my tax return - I'm self-employed and they're not familiar with anything related to my work but just completed my return and sent it back to me after I kept reaching out over and over to see why I hadn't gotten it- I got it just prior to April 15th. They took over abacus in Hereford, MD. we really liked Abacus and used them since 2012 with no issue. Venning way overpriced and very poor service. Took 6 months when we had everything in before their cutoff for guaranteed deadline, incurred late fee and interest. Refuses itemized invoice on almost 800 bill to do a married w-2 return that cost half that last year.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM FROM THIS COMPANY!! TAX ERRORS, LATE FILINGS, POOR COMMUNICATION, VERY OVERPRICED!!!
