At the Corner Bar the reception was so bad, the condition of the place so dilapidated, and the menu such a mess that after sitting at a table for two or three minutes we got up and left without ordering. About 1/3 of the items on the menu were crossed out with a sharpie. The alcohol sign at the bar said "Your birthday must be on or before this date in 2000 to purchase alcohol" but it was scribbled out with a sharpie and changed to 2001... Wonderful waiters and waitresses and great appetizers and drinks, but the meat plates have gotten MUCH smaller for the price 😞 In today's economy it's hard to keep the portions the same. Very delicious mixed drinks as well. My little car 🚗 got to go too this year. We love sitting on the deck watching the boats come and go plus the one man band is pretty great 👍
Our evening at the Coral Gables restaurant checked all the boxes for excellence -- food, service, venue, and price. The server recommended the cherry vinaigrette, a dressing that I never had had before. It was delicious on the house salad. The perch basket was the best that I have ever had -- the breading was spiced perfectly. Sitting on the balcony and looking over the water as the sun went down only enhanced our experience.
Tiki bar and Marina in Saugatuck. Lol, I used to play here 40 years ago. Just as fun as it was back in the 80s. Great vibe great tiki bar on the water. Great outdoor music. Good bartenders and drinks.
The overworked, tried and rude waiters ruined my vacation weekend twice. If you want to drink a cold beer in a glass DONT go Coral Gables because you will be yelled at and insulted by the waiters if you ask for a glass. They will bring your bill even though you did not ask for it and in a way tell you to get the hell out of there. The same situation is in the adjacent restorant - tiki - .
