There are only a handful of good staff that want to make a change in these kids lives. The staff to resident ratio is 1:5 I was constantly single staffed with 13-15 kids every shift. This makes it very unfair to the kids to work their program because it’s unsafe and takes away opportunity’s for them. When brought up to HR and managers, the manager didn’t respond or care to figure out a solution for the benefit of the kids. I went here at CHYC myself not even two months ago, this place honestly just added more trauma onto my plate than I already had. Please, even if they accept you, DO NOT COME TO CHYC!!!
i was a past resident here and i absolutely hated it. shout out to my fav staff: kim, isaac, sarah, brayden, maria. you guys were the only ones that made my stay there a little better. thank you for that. this place was actually so bad. there were mice, mold in the washers and showers, ants bed bugs and spiders, and the dryers there burned a ton of clothing and made it unusable. the education system was okay, but the summer school definitely sucked. the place was definitely sexist- seeing as the boy units could do whatever t... read more
This place helped my child! Only negative thing I have to say is.... the communication between copper hills and parents SUCKS! I also feel like the kids are not given enough phone time to call family! I would recommend this place!!
