I had a deeply concerning experience with this facility. My father was sent here for behavioral issues that turned out to be a simple UTI—something that should have been tested for immediately but was overlooked in favor of heavy sedation. ​While here, his agitation and paranoia actually worsened, likely due to the medications they administered (including Ativan). The facility is filthy, and the staff do not listen. They drugged my stepfather, restrained him, and verbally abused him. Afterwards, they continued giving him medication until he could no longer function, then claimed he was “all better.” One of the drugs used was Seroquel (quetiapine), which they increased in dosage despite his age and dementia diagnosis.
