After four years of planning and construction, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant opened in 2005 in Orland Park, a south suburb of Chicago. The concept was unique. My wife, two other couples, and I attended the Tampa, Florida location Thurssay afternoon. We are all club members and have been for a couple years now. The wine tastings went well as always. The food, again as always, was very good. Our service was extremely slow and it took our server 4 attempts to get our checks right. Great place! Stopped in for apps and a tasting. Walked out with 6 bottles. The Lux Chardonnay is top notch! Our server, Carla made the whole experience world-class!
Good food, lousy management. Was told there were no tables available between 4:45-7:30 when I call so we just walked in. We were sat immediately with no wait at 6pm. Over half the restaurant was empty. Who is running this place? Also you never see the same server. Massive server turnover... last 5 visits never had a manager table visit.... I go to the ones in Chicago, Cincinnati and Orlando. NONE of them are run this poorly....
My wife and I have been going to CH at least once a month for two years and I've never had bad service or food.
My friend and her husband brought me for my first visit and it was wonderful. The food and service were beyond my expectations. It's now my favorite place and I can't wait until my next visit.
It can be hit or miss depending on server...we're wine club members but all that gets you is free tasting for 2 when you buy 2 bottles of wine each month. We like it as a place to bring different friends & Family as the decanter the reds is served in is very impressive. After being members for more than a year menu becomes boring. Food is good but not fine dine quality. Wine service st $20 per bottle is basically the big draw.
One waiter lied and said she was sick. Just because she didn't want to wait on use. Our food was late. And worst of all we had to keep calling the waiter over. Very horrible customer service. The date was 03/11/2017
Great time at Cooper's Hawk!! Kim was our server and she was well beyond awsome!! However I feel there should be a separate room for the actual wine tasting. Just a stand where everyone have to crowd around and not get the proper wine tasting experience.
Tasty and delectable food, excellent wine and outstanding customer service!!!
