Our family lost everything in a house fire last February, the fast response and quality care that all the fire fighters gave to our family and fur babies was beyond remarkable. We are forever grateful for them.
The fire department went above and beyond to keep drivers safe this morning during terrible road conditions. Besides the fact of them blocking off roads that were very slick that did have accidents this morning, they were hand salting the area so the redirected traffic could turn around safely. Special shout out the CR Fire station #2! Today on our 14 mile run, my friend and I had run out of water. We only had 2 miles left, but the humidity was very high and we were exhausted and thirsty. We saw the garage doors open and spotted a firemen walking into the offices. We ran up and knocked on the window to see if we could get water. He gladly let us in to fill our water bottles. CRFD has always been prompt and helpful when I’ve called or needed them. They helped me when my husband was out of town and I couldn’t get the car seat secured for my grandson; they helped when there were suspicious lights and smoke in a neighborhood house I could see half a block away. Their part as first responders were critical when I had a stroke several years ago ( I fully recovered wittin hours). Friendly and highly professional with every encounter I’ve had with them. Earlier this year we made an emergency call when my youngest daughter (at age 21) had her first grand mal seizure. The Coon Rapids MN Fire Department C-Shift was here in no time, they walked my husband and I through a tough situation and stayed until everything was under control. About 2 weeks later (maybe less) she received a card from them wishing her well. Thank you so much for all you do.
