Great amenities, well built and fantastic location. Very positive experience so far
I have lived in Portland for a decade, and I have never had a worse living experience than that at the "luxury" Cook Street Apartments. For the past three months, the garage door to the building has been non operational, and open at all times. All residents who park in the garage are still paying full price monthly. There is not a fob needed to access the elevator, so the building is not secure at all times. Anyone can reach your front door, at any hour. The maintenance team is excellent. The building stays clean for the most part. The units are ok. Layout is probably the best that it could be given the limited space. The paint on the walls in the units is basically just primer. The elevators do not reset to the ground floor or the parking garage. These are small complaints. The real issue is the vertical noise. There’s always someone cleaning, leaf blowing, vacuuming, etc. and the maintenance gets taken care of quickly. By far the best apartments I’ve lived in, I’ve been in 3 different units here bc I don’t think it can be beat. Noise has always been a problem in other apartments, but for the most part you can’t hear your neighbors.
