The nursing agency only cares about the volume of clients it has, not the quality of care. My son was coming home for the first time from the hospital on a ventilator and trach. Continuum nursing agency was an hour late after he came home for the first time. The nurses all complained about the agency and quit after 3 weeks. The nursing agency did not follow up with us for 2 months after the nurses quit even though they were our primary nursing agency choice. Look elsewhere.
Going to train the existing staff to orient the new people with the checklist. Then ,the management scheduler who laughs at me disrespectfully roll off my shoulders. Stay four hours for orientation; not the stay until you feel comfortable with the case. As a trained PHD from the college of pharmacy, with pre med ,I am overqualified and treated as an ADN when I know more I am belittled by the scheduler.
