I can’t say enough good things about Continuum. My crisis started on November and it was really scary. I got a referral from my PCP to Continuum. The initial appt was scheduled far out. One day I was doing really bad and called and they ended up having a cancellation and fit me in that day! I saw Tara and she is FANTASTIC!! Continuum's team of professionals have helped me and another member of my family greatly. Something I've struggled to find in psychiatrists or mental health doctors in general is the sensitivity and humanity aspect, which many Drs would lose after seeing dozens of patients weekly. I feel as though every professional at continuum sees me as more than a "patient", but as a person deserving of a better mindspace based on my own worth. Not equip to handle mental health crisis situations, if you don’t have a dr available on a Wednesday at 1pm for a prescription need - you’re not capable of dealing with people in need of mental health help. The ER isn’t always the best option. You’re failing at this George.
I truly have never posted a review like this, but seeing as this is a mental health facility, I feel I need to. I will try to keep it short and sweet, starting by saying, this was the worst encounter I’ve ever had. 15 minutes past my appointment time (mind you I showed up 15 minutes early AND had all my paperwork filled out), I was told the provider I was paired with could no longer see me and could I come back 3 hours later.
