I would give this place zero stars if it allowed for it. By far worst place you could chose to live. The distance from campus does not make up for the fact that the apartments are disgusting, the landlords are unhelpful, the rent is way too high, and the utilities are constantly breaking. Our dishwasher has made our dishes dirtier ever since we moved in and the washing machine isn t much better with our clothes. The place is close to campus and main street and you get two parking spaces. The apartments themselves arent the best, but you get two bathrooms a decent sized kitchen and a washer/dryer. The place is a lot cheaper than the Courtyards (1/2), but obviously you get what you pay for. Landlords are a bit weird, but for the price there isnt much to complain about. We had parties all the time and never got hassled and did a 1 day cleanup and got our entire security deposit back.
While the dwelling may seem institutional I overlooked this aspect as it was close to campus and a convenient proximity to Main Street. Though it became a nightmare when appliances started to break. Ex. After contacting the landlord about the problem, I was forced to use a neighbors washing machine for several months as "the part" that was needed to fix our washer was constantly out of stock. As an alumna from the University of Delaware and current resident of Newark I have lived in several different apartment complexes in the area. This apartment is by far the worst. There are very few windows and a very small kitchen area. Also the floors are tiled which makes the place feel institutional. There was virtually no maintenance even when the landlords were repeatedly asked. Items were damaged when I moved in that the landlords had not repaired from the previous tenants.
