Their website says, get an mortgage quote in 30 seconds. All you have to do is fill out some info....they are liars, after you fill out the info, they tell you that someone will be getting a hold of you shortly. Total BS.....if they lie upfront, you can bet they lie throughout the process. I would recommend avoiding these guys at all costs.

We had submitted a request on a refinancing website. One senior Mortgage banker from Consumer Direct Mortgage, Mr. Alton Johnson sent an email on feb 14th after collecting our preliminary data that his quote is 2.75% for 15 years Fixed interest rate. After , collecting all confidential information and running credit check, this SENIOR broker says it was typo and he meant 3.25%. Horrible experience. I admit I got a got a good rate. I was working with another company and left them for Consumer Direct because of the rate. Worst mistake I've ever made. It actually cost me more in the long run due to extra fee's and delay's. I was promised to have my appraisal on time and was not. This ended up costing me $2000 as it breached my contract with the sellers time frame. Consumer Direct continued to delay process after process. Consumer Direct tried to get away with a few things and claim that we had to sign incorrect paperwork or the deal would fall through when they made mistakes. They also were VERY unorganized (only mortgage out of my 6 or 7 where they asked for more info after closing - including a threatening letter from their parent company, First Bank which was all lies but some people might fall for it). I looked at 12 plus credit unions, banks and mortgage companies before I found and settled with Consumer Direct Mortgage. I delt with Erik Elsasser and he was lighting fast at responding to my emails. Even when I had 6 am emails requesting a pre-approval letter, I usually had the letter within the hour. Guessing he reads the emails before he gets to work.? OUTSTANDING company to work with. Highly recommend them. For me, they had he best rates, and people closing me agreed.
