Stopped in during a stroll of the city, shortly after a visit to PMOA. Matthew, the artist greeted me, showed me the entire studio and his current in-process pieces. As a person he’s open, intelligent, gracious. As an artist: his work rivals anything I saw at PMOA. Exceptional abstract work that engages the imagination and the heart. I attach one of his many 4’X4’ paintings: little bit of Chagall, little bit of Picasso. This man and his Art are hidden treasures in Philly.
