We’ve been a patient of Dr Francis Yao for over a decade and thanks to UCSF my wife’s health has made an amazing transition from her genetic liver disease. The facility continues to provide great care and the newly designed and updated transplant site is beautiful with more light and a great view of the city.

Covid 19 vaccination mandate. I am 33, I have lupus and I recently received a letter. No phone call. To tell me I would not be able to receive a life saving kidney transplant at UCSF if I do not receive a covid 19 vaccination. Which I am terrified of because my lupus is finally in remission and I don't want to do anything to flare it up. So I just wanted to warn anyone considering this center. It is devestating and my heart is completely broken.
Thank you for keeping my husband alive when the hospital in our hometown couldnt.
