He works Great with my special needs daughter who is about to turn 33 !We have been with him since she was in High School. 3 times in DeKalb Medical for Psychotic breaks Had to change her meds and he did that till we got them straight. We see him every 3 months by telehealth, and once a year in person. He listens carefully and only adjusts her meds if needed. He always looks at the other meds she takes to make sure everything works together. We just Love Dr Conley and my daughter actually talks to him about how she feels !
Dr. Conley really listens to his patients and keep a close eye on all your medications. He truly wants what is best for you and will adjust your medications accordingly. It has a great bedside manner and is super positive. He really guides you through your mental health journey and is a huge advocate of treating his patients holistically. I have severe ADHD, Bipolar 1, and I saw Michael Conley in the fall of 2019. I expressed a multitude of serious symptoms that included suicidal thoughts, chunks of missing memory, no connection to reality, a complete inability to focus, sit still, or process information quickly—among others. When asked if I have trauma, I expressed having flashbacks when touched certain ways. Dr Conley is a first class practitioner. He is extremely knowledgeable about meds & gives great advice. I truly believe he wants me to be successful in all areas of my life.
Do not bother. I have tried calling them several times and left several voicemails but have never received a call back. When my partner went in, he tried to make an appointment for me but was told I'd need to make one myself. Well, it'd be nice if someone could actually answer the phone or return any of the numerous messages I've left. There isn't even an email you can write to. This is completely unreasonable and incredible disappointing, seeing as how they came so highly recommended.
Doesn't know who you are, doesn't know your life history - and doesn't care. Just wants to prescribe expensive meds and get insurance money. Not interested in the patient, has no desire to understand the patient because money is his game - not psychiatry. A low-life imposter who needs to be investigated.
Dr Conley is the best psychiatrist I've ever had. His office is small--only Dr Conley, a therapist and one office person, but I always feel well taken care of. He is knowledgeable, approachable and I never feel judged or looked down upon like I have with previous doctors. His office is in a hectic area and parking can be an issue during busy hours, but he is well worth it! Highly recommend!
Conley is extremely knowledgeable about meds. Thus one star. However, professional demeanor is lacking. He talks, patients listen. Questions are rebuffed. Conley is grumpy, sarcastic and has a bad temper. Shocking for a MD. Conley will not respond to patients who call in during a crises experience. Also, his front office is chaotic. And privacy is lacking in tiny wait room. Patients are not given proper forms to submit to insurance companies. All charges are patient pay. Expensive.
Small, personal office. Great support staff. I have already recommended Dr. Conley to a friend and she loves him. I have worked in the mental health field for a long time and talked to many psychiatrists as both a patient and on treatment teams. I was looking for a geriatric psychiatrist in Decatur nearer to where I live and am so thankful I found Dr. Conley. We have a friendly conversation and figure things out. He listens.
