This Latin Bistro doubles as a bar/nightclub. Some favorites from the dinner menu are the chicken in garlic sauce, spicy shrimp Creole, beef tenderloin, and paella. After dinner, the fully stocked bar keeps the Latin beats drumming to bar-goers and salsa dancers until 2 a.m.

tepid – Conga is close to being really good but doesn't quite live up to its intentions. The food has none of the spiciness or flair that I expect in latin dishes. I know that Minnesotan's palates are generally sensitive and intolerant of heat but the Shrimp Victoria was downright bland. The pot roast was decent but lacked zip. If the food had half the zing that the decor has it would get an 8 or 9 but as it stands it is barely a 7.
The Best Place to be...and be seen! – I liked almost everything about Conga... The atmosphere is great, it's the only place in Minnesota were Latinos feel at home. It's the real latin scence.
El Grupazo - Muy Caliente!! – While recently visiting the Twin Cities, I had the pleasure of both dining and dancing at the Conga. Initially I went for the dancing and to my delight there was a live band...EL GRUPAZO...who fired it up...this group SIZZLED! Muy Caliente! In a futile attempt to watch this highly energetic and entertaining group perform again, I returned on Saturday for dinner and more dancing. The Jamaican Chicken and Victorian Shrimp were DELISH! Although El Grupazo were not playing, the DJ really mixed it up... read more
Not Carribean Food – As a dominican I find this place to be pretty lame in comparison to your local corner store (bodega) in New York City. The food is cheaper and is more authentic and tastier than the food at Conga. For a night club, not bad, but just make sure not to wear your good shoes.
Cool place to go...for Salsa.. – I love this place. I love it cause it's unique...small...and busy. This place is hopping on Thursdays and Saturdays. They play a fun mix of Salsa music. However, the dance floor is small so it gets too packed for salsa..but it's just a fun place to check out nice looking young people. Seriously, this is a nice intimate place to be...and to see.
Congas Latin Bistro-Spicy – Is the best place to go if you want to have the night of you life. You can start with a great appetizer, like croquetas continue with an entree, or you can just go and enjoy their wonderful margaritas while shaking you body at the dance floor.
Fun for a group of women! – I love Conga because the crowd is friendly and not obnoxious -- the men are great dancers, always asking to dance, but it's not a meat market or a grope-fest like some other places. Plus, latin dances are so fun and easy to catch onto, even if you've never taken lessons. They also have some non-Latin dance music, so whichever you are in the mood for, you can choose. The decor is stylish and attractive, too. I've never eaten dinner there, so I couldn't really comment on that (except that from frien... read more
