Bought a new Lenovo at Best Buy and two days later a tip from my earphones broke off in the computer. Their Geek Squad said they would have to "send it out" for repair. I took it to The Computer Place and they had it fixed in two days for a reasonable repair fee. They had to disassemble the computer to get at it. All is good!
Took my wife's Lenova Laptop in 2x and my Mac once, and they couldn't fix my Mac. I refused to pay them anything. I should have learned from that. Took my wife's Lenova in and they put a new hard drive in, 6 months later, starting to have more problems--grinding noise--told me it was a fan--put the fan in--still making the grinding noise and the cursor flies all over place. I haven't taken it back, and I don't plan to.
I really wish I would've read the reviews before I took my computer here. First they told me it would be 3-4 business days. After having it there for 5 days I was going to take it someplace else because they didn't even look at it yet!! I went in to get the computer and the guy talked me into leaving it. He said he would start right away and it would be done the next day. Next day nothing. I called them AGAIN and they said it would be done in a couple minutes. When I picked it up, the total was $134.99, I have him $135 cash.... read more
