I started seeing Dr Tolia in 2012... I have MS...i was referred by my primary care... he's very knowledgeable about MS...has won several awards for his research in MS. I never knew what I would get after a visit... I finally reached a point where I wouldn't leave the check out window until I had whatever I needed in my hand. As someone who worked alongside Dr. Tolia, I can say he is an excellent doctor and very caring and helpful. However, I agree with the other reviews regarding the front desk receptionist (Ramy). He rarely answers the phone, and I have personally been trying to reach the office for the past 3–4 weeks with no success, despite being promised multiple times that my request would be handled soon; a task that takes less than 30 seconds. Overall, Dr. Tolia is a great doctor, but the front desk staff is careless and unresponsive.
In summary my experience with this office has been frustrating. Dr. Tolia himself is fine. I don't have anything concrete to not recommend him as a doctor. My frustration come from the office staff. Both times Dr. Tolia wrote scripts for imaging, the office never sent them for approval. I confirmed this when calling both my insurance and imaging center to see if they received them. Very caring and kind neurologist. Had a great experience with all staff as well. They are very friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone. He takes the time to listen and cares about his patients.
