This is now my 5th visit with Dr. Sandy, and I feel both seen and heard. He does not rush through my appt, which has been a thing in the past with other psych doctors. Dr. Sandy is professional, yet personable. His bedside manner is great, and he has a humorous side. Most important, for the first time, I understand my diagnosis and am no longer in denial. He broke it down in layman terminology. I also did my research, of course. I'm impressed with Dr. Sandy's approach to me as a patient.
Visiting with Dr. Sandy is one of the things I look forward to every month because I feel like a Kid in a candy store, only instead of choosing different candies, I discuss different topics related to my well-being. Dr. Sandy is a great psychiatrist for me because he is precise, no sugarcoating, just facts. He is empathetic, sincere, passionate, accommodating, and flexible.
