Initially, the interactions with Compassus Hospice were very supportive and helpful. However, when RN care transitioned from Kristen to Kathy, it was a very different experience. Kathy seemed to question why I had made the decision to transition my spouse to an assistive living facility. She prematurely discharged him from care and told him that he did not belong in the assisted living facility. Compassus Hospice provided exceptional care to my grandmother during her final months, and I can’t thank them enough. The entire team—from the nurses to the CNAs and Pastoral care—was truly wonderful. They treated my grandmother with such kindness, dignity, and compassion every step of the way. My family and I are so grateful for the excellent care Alena, Meg and all the staff at Compassus gave our mother the last few weeks of her life. They always made sure Mom had everything she needed. I also appreciated the updates I received about her care.
