So grateful for Compassus staff as my mother-in-law, Nancy Starkey made her final journey. Michelle Robertson was a jewel! As a former hospice nurse myself, I recognized the signs Mom was getting close. I was grateful that God allowed me to also be Mom's nurse her last few hours. Hospice comfort meds are just that. The meds eased her journey, & made it a little easier for us all.
These people care and do everything they can to help during the tough time. From help with getting a room set up, medications, and even ensuring that we all understood the process. Sam Byrd and Lindsey Byrd I can't thank enough for the compassion you showed our family. The on call nurse I missed her name but was just as professional, prompt, and compassionate. Thank you all from our family for all you do!
We personally knew a doctor who worked with Compassus, and so we were able to get a little more help than normal, but if you don't have this, I cannot in good conscience recommend this company. There were a couple of excellent nurses and aids (Morgan and Jodie; I gave 2 stars because of them) but the company itself was a disaster. Initially they failed to deliver equipment that I told them beforehand we needed and they assured me would be delivered. It then took over a week to get them to do anything about this.
