My cocker spaniel, Betsy, just had her first visit with Dr. Shell, and it was a terrific experience - everyone was warm and friendly, the office is bright and beautifully decorated, and my pup left happy.

Tux and I are SO happy to have been referred to CVC. I'm all about a small, family-feel vet vs. a busy, slick 'n fancy (read: more expensive!) office. I live up in Frederick and rarely go "down the road", so that was a slight hesitancy I had. But we love everyone there so much that I'd drive twice as far to get such great care for Tux.

Dr. Shell, Kristine and the whole staff at Compassion Vet are amazing. We have two pups with a variety of needs and they have been able to confidently take care of them and we have seen so many improvements in our dog's health! They know our dogs by name and you can tell that the dog's wellbeing matters to them. We also have a pup that is very anxious and skittish around new people and everyone at Compassion goes out of their way to make sure she is comfortable. So happy to have this vet in Urbana!
