I currently sponsor a little girl in Kenya and she has been such a blessing to me even though it has only been two months since I began to sponsor her. I recently received my first letter and she even drew me a picture. Compassion has been great at walking me through all the steps in sponsoring a child, as well as keeping me updated on not only my new adopted country but all of the countries we serve. Our church contacted Compassion International about sponsoring a child since we have members that sponsor children on an individual level. When our representative contacted Compassion, we were informed that a sponsorship would not be possible by our church since our statement of belief were not compatible with the one set forth by Compassion.
