I have sponsored children through CI for over 10 years. I was also an ambassador for Compassion, and successfully encouraged 180 individuals to become sponsors. I love CI and will continue to point people in their direction. But.... I have a note of warning... followed by more reasons to Love this organization and all that they stand for. I have personally met both of my sponsored children and I can tell you first hand how impactful this program is to the children and their families! I had the chance to meet my sponsored children's families and to see their homes. I worked with the teachers and the care givers. I saw the impact sponsor letters have on the children. I spoke with some that cried because they have never received a letter from their sponsor; yet, they told me how grateful they were to have their support and how they love them for it!
