I hope others aren't treated the way I was when I canceled my sponsorship due to excessive mailers. I've gotten like 6 in the past few weeks. I understand marketing, but why were you marketing to me? I already sponsor a child. Taking 10% of my funds FOR my child and using them for marketing, really? Then I was informed that I should write my child a letter stating that "I could no longer afford him" Seriously? You want me to tell THAT to a child!? My wife and I have been sponsoring a little boy in the Philippines since 2004 and his presence in our life has been quite a blessing. We had the opportunity to meet him and his family, visit his project and home in July 2012. This was an unforgettable tripa dn it was quite a blessing! I've always wanted to sponsor a child but we were worried about money. Then I realized this boy's dad who is the breadwinner is a laborer in his country making 60 dollars a month. About 2 dollars a day...most of us make 2 dollars in 10 or 15 minutes at our jobs! We just recently sponsored this little 4 year old boy in Bangladesh and my kids are so excited!
