I didn't explicitly hire Compass Carpentry, but Shawn did my home inspection a couple years ago. Today I noticed he was a listed contractor of the CA Earthquake Bolt & Brace program, and I have been having some questions about a potential retrofit which no one has been willing or able to answer for me. Shawn took my call and gave me some great information. Just a stand-up guy, super knowledgeable, and clear communicator. And of course his inspection was top notch too. He will be my first call when I need a pro.

We recently sold our home, the buyers hired Shawn as the home inspector. In the report Shawn blatantly lied stating that our electrical panel cover was to dangerous to remove and that it needed to be replaced due to manufacturers recalls, later on in the report there are images of the inside of the panel meaning he opened it up and took it off, in addition to that he unplugged our brand new garage door opener to test the back up battery which is designed to not be ran on for more then only 24 hours and is only utilized for e... read more

Shawn and his crew have been really excellent on two recent projects for me. One was to repair extensive rot damage at work. His crew was really careful about my customers access, and were diligent in ensuring the work was done completely and thoroughly. The repairs blended seamlessly. They also repaired some older windows at my house that were unique, and much better than anything new. I wish we had found them years ago!

I had the opportunity to work with Shawn and Ryan at a beautiful property in Jenner. I can vouch for them both wholeheartedly as dependable, honest, and more than qualified. These guys deliver - above and beyond!
