Would not recommend Kayla at all. Nor the Office Staff in Moberly. Guess we are making the 2 hour trip back to a provider that values our opinions and listens to our concerns.
We had been taking our two children here for the last 2-1/2 years. The care was great and Dr. Brockman was phenomenal. We had nothing but great interactions, justifying the hour drive from our home to their office. Sadly, the last visit we had resulted in the termination of care for our children. The receptionist was very rude when I brought my son for shots as I have a condition that prevents me from wearing a face mask. RecommendedCoMO Cubs pediatrics is doing a wonderful job of keeping their patients safe during this pandemic. I took my son to his well child visit and felt completely safe the entire visit. We were allowed to wait in our car until our room was ready. There was a separate area for well children to enter and all the doors were open so you didn't have to touch high traffic surfaces. I have taken my daughter, who is now 15, to CoMo Cubs since she was born. It was originally Dr. Schumer's office until she retired. I have never had an issue with them until we switched insurance. Before, my daughter had Medicaid which covered 100 percent. Now that we actually receive a bill, I can see they are overcharging. The latest is a $110 bill for a phone call I made to have a prescription changed. $110 to simply change a prescription. Hi Amanda. I'm sorry you were not expecting a bill. Typically we have found that insurance will cover those charges, and we usually receive about half of those charges. If you are having to pay out of pocket the charge should have been around $50, but we can't control what your insurance passes on to you... Part of the changes with COVID is that we have had to start charging for virtual visits (extended phone visits or video visits) in order to keep our doors open. We had a billing issue with CoMo Cubs, and after a little back and forth we came to the conclusion that there was confusion on the length of our phone call to them that was charged as a visit. They fixed the issue for us. This really is a great place to take your kids.
My husband and I came in after delivering in the middle of a pandemic. We left the hospital quickly to avoid getting sick. I was worried about our baby not getting enough food. Dr.Wilson heard my concern and recommended us work with his RN Sally Lepper who has a lot of background in nursing consulting. She was very helpful and followed up with me quickly with an email recapping what we had discussed. -AND WE ARE NOW GETTING SLEEP! Dr. Wilson has gone above and beyond to take care of us. He diagnosed suspected CMPA, got us started on Nutramigen and we now have a completely different little girl! No more uncontrollable screaming...Hooray! I love that he will give you his honest opinion and advice but doesn’t shove it down your throat. I am especially grateful that the entire staff at CoMo Cubs is always willing to answer silly questions from this first time Mom and they educate instead of Mom-Shaming.
