I would not recommend HSHS St. Clare Hospital in Oconto Falls to my worst enemy. Their billing department is a disaster. $1583.00 for a 10 minute trip to the ER and a tiny drop of glue for our son’s eye that literally fell off the next day. I realized they were out of network when the trainer suggested he needed stitches after getting elbowed in a basketball game but the game was in Lena, it was a snowstorm & that was the nearest place. I had lab work done in 2017, for which I paid, I had more done in 2018, which I also paid for. Then, they sent me a secondary bill for the 2017 work. I argued it, but eventually paid it. I then had more done in 2019, for which I have paid. Now, they are demanding payment for the 2017 lab work a 3rd time. They keep telling me that according to their records I owe for them again, but will not state how they came to that conclusion. Dr. Amy Romandinekratz is amazing. She is caring, compassionate, and understanding. Because she actually listened, she caught a huge impact in my daughters bum... shes been in pain for months, we even saw a specialists for this 3 weeks ago, he unfortunately did not care. Amy did everything in her power to find out what was going on with our little girl. On December 19Th I had to to to the ER as I was having a sever reaction to a medication I started taking! Luckily I knew the signs of flushed, itchy skin, heart racing, hives and not be able to breathe and swallowing was difficult. I called the hospital as I drive myself and let them know I was coming in and problems.
