Besides the social workers who were about as attentive as Helen Keller, I absolutely loved the way my mom was treated in her final days. The staff (for the most part) was absolutely amazing and are some of the best people in this world for what they do. On the other hand, the bereavement that I got, well, I’ve had waaaaay better. That all being said they shouldn’t have gotten to the point of shutting down.
We had nothing but positive people working with us through the entire process. Our nurse Yolanda was absolutely amazing she was patient and explained everything multiple times with the daughter of her patient. She gave encouragement and kind words and listened when family needed it. The Chaplin Stephanie also came multiple times really made mom feel special and important. Social worker Mary came out as well and she was absolutely amazing. Your loved one are in amazing hands with Eden hospice they are amazing thank you all.
Very disappointed to hear that the new company, Eden, is closing this facility. This center has been so helpful to the community and myself and family to safely have care for my mother when it is needed. Shame on you Eden.
The in-house care is closing at the end of April 2023. They have been absolutely essential part of the Longview Community for decades. The Home Health part has been sold to a "for profit" company and the in-house facility closed. Their services will be missed as there isn't a replacement. Our USA health care continues to get more expensive and profit driven. Hospice services will be dearly missed.
